The Chocolate Soldier celebrates the rich traditions of service life to bring you an exceptional chocolate experience. All our chocolate is hand-crafted in The Chocolate Soldier kitchen.
We are defined by the dedication and strength of values instilled in the founders through more than 50 years combined service in the British Army. We live by high standards, with the courage to use packaging that is from the most sustainable sources and as fully recyclable as we can make it - we don't always get it right but we believe in constant improvement.
We have a deep seated respect for others that ensures all our ingredients are ethically sourced; to empower producers as much as we can.
The founders of The Chocolate Soldier have all been part of the ultimate professional team and hope that our dedication to service translates into the chocolate that we produce and excellent customer service for you.
The Chocolate Soldier proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant. We were awarded the Bronze Award as part of the Employer Recognition Scheme and we continue to value the contribution that others make to the service of their country. All Service personnel, past and present, can enjoy a discount through the Defence Discount Service.
Lets meet the founders:
Phill - our Head Chocolatier.
Phill began his military service in 1997, training as a chef in 1999 and serving extensively across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, the Mediterranean and North America. Phill was always fascinated by chocolate and at the end of his 25 year military career proudly created The Chocolate Soldier in early 2022.
Des - our Business Director.
Des trained as an explosives expert and spent 27 years serving as a logistics officer in the British Army, in too many countries to list. He helped found The Chocolate Soldier when he retired from service.
